The Silent Device Called Equality - 2/04/2026

Summary

Equality has long been perceived as a warm word. Equal rights, equal opportunities—its soft sound. However, when used in reality, something is removed and something is fixed. This paper traces the process by which the word "equality," integrated into everyday life, has not eliminated competition but rather preserved it in a modified form. It neither denies nor condemns. It simply lists the phenomena that are occurring and sees them through to the end.

Keywords

equality, system, competition, redistribution, control

Well-organized words

The same words are repeated on the morning news and on school notices: Everyone should be treated equally. There's no sharp contrast. There's no reason to argue. Differences are inherent, and it's unfair to treat people differently because of them, it continues. Many people nod, and the conversation ends there. The words are quietly returned to the shelf, as if they've served their purpose.

But behind those shelves, another task is underway. To make things equal, someone measures, someone distributes, and someone makes the decision. The act of making decisions is always left out of the context.

What is lost before it is distributed

To equalize something, the surplus and deficit must be counted. The surplus is removed, and the deficit is made up. Along the way, the original form is lost. The party whose resources were removed is not asked why. The party with the deficit is not asked why. Only the results are dealt with.

The resources used here are not infinite. They are brought from somewhere and moved somewhere. When that flow becomes invisible, it feels like the burden has disappeared. But it hasn't disappeared. It's simply been transformed into an unrecorded form.

Equalization = Invisibility of movement × Fixed decision-making power

Competition after the disappearance of competition

The system designed to avoid competition did not end competition. It simply changed the stage. The public victories and defeats are tame, and dropouts are reduced. In exchange, participation doesn't end. While no one leaves the game, no one can take a break.

Only those who follow the rules are preserved, while those who don't are quietly excluded. Power differences aren't measured, but obedience is. Instead of speed or strength, skill in adaptation remains. This is how competition changes form and continues within the system.

Preserving competition = Suppressing exclusion + Strengthening control

The simple form that remains: What would happen if nothing was distributed, nothing was supported, and nothing was decided? This question isn't often asked. But the answer isn't difficult. Those with haves spread, and those without haves shrink. That's all there is to it. Rapid change occurs, and rapid end also.

Current equality is the result of a rejection of that speed. The end was postponed, the shape was adjusted, and the pain was stretched thin. In return, the system became heavy and the decision-making center became immobile.

Under the silent piles of paperwork, simple power relationships still breathe. Only the name has changed, and their appearances remain hidden.

This article analyzes the deception of "equality" in modern society. Doesn't true equality ultimately mean the survival of the fittest?
